Our client is a leading global consumer brand in the food and beverage space. They are looking for a Sales Analyst to conduct sales and market analysis deriving actionable insights to improve sales and profitability.
The Role:
- Collects data from sales reports, company budgets and retailers for analysis and insight generation
- Develops methods and strategies for assessing large amounts of data
- Review historical product and retailer sales to identify trends
- Conduct competitive assessments
- Studies shopping and purchase trends of consumer base and target demographic
- Uses sales prediction software to determine future trends
- Presents sales reports and insights to leadership and sales team
- Suggests adjustments and revisions to promotional strategies to improve sales and profitability
- Attends and participates in sales strategy meetings
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience and knowledge in the CPG industry – dairy a plus
- Expertise in analyzing IRI and Nielsen data
- Strong analytical acumen with the ability to generate actional and creative insights and strategies
- Ability to translate data for non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated familiarity with budget software and budget analysis
