Customer Marketing Manager
Location: Boston (minimum 2 days per week in office)
Salary: $90-100k
About the Role
We’re looking for a strategic and execution-focused Customer Marketing Manager to lead programs that deepen customer engagement, drive retention, and accelerate expansion. This role will own key lifecycle initiatives across onboarding, engagement, renewal, and growth, helping turn customers into long-term advocates.
You’ll partner closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to ensure customers realize value, stay engaged, and contribute to overall revenue growth.
What You’ll Do
Customer Engagement & Retention
- Build and execute lifecycle marketing programs across onboarding, adoption, renewal, and expansion
- Develop strategies that improve retention, product usage, and overall customer satisfaction
Customer Advocacy & Content
- Create and scale advocacy programs including testimonials, case studies, and referrals
- Develop customer-facing content such as success stories and video spotlights
Expansion & Revenue Growth
- Support upsell and cross-sell initiatives through segmentation and targeted messaging
- Partner with Sales and Product to drive customer expansion campaigns
- Track impact on pipeline influence and customer revenue growth
Customer Communications
- Own customer communications including newsletters, product updates, and announcements
- Manage a centralized communication calendar aligned to customer needs and product priorities
Insights & Collaboration
- Partner with Product Marketing to translate customer feedback into compelling messaging
- Measure and report on performance across customer marketing programs
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align messaging, campaigns, and go-to-market efforts
What We’re Looking For
- 4–7 years of experience in customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, or retention-focused roles
- Proven ability to build and scale customer engagement or advocacy programs
- Strong writing and communication skills with a focus on value-driven messaging
- Collaborative mindset with experience working across Product, Sales, and Marketing teams
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, or similar platforms
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
