One of the top biomedical research institutions in Boston is seeking a Project Manager to support business operations, technical operations and client relationships for a large biomedical research department with a budget in excess of $4 million.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Collaborating with internal groups to assure resources have been identified and are available
- Collaborating with internal and external groups to manage deadlines and client needs
- Advocating for client interests and monitor projects for change in scope and budget
- Supporting visits and audits from external parties
- Overseeing complex scheduling processes and maintain an accurate calendar of key activities for program
- Establishing and maintaining partnerships with new and renewing investigators
- Overseeing and managing contract and service agreement negotiations
- Implementing timely interventions or process changes to meet department goals
- Managing timelines and deliverables of internal and external projects and ensuring quality and completion of project deliverables
- Assisting with regulatory compliance inspections, audits, and investigations
- Maintain process tracking records and checklists, aggregate data, and provide analysis on internal workflows
- Establishing, maintaining, and improving process specific Key Performance Indicators
- Identify areas for improvement and participate in identified process improvements
- Support the Director, Senior Veterinarians, and investigators in after action reviews and addressing client concerns

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in R&D or Academic Research. Those with current or previous AALAS certifications (ALAT, LAT, LATG, CMAR), CVT, or other related certifications also welcome.
Must have Project Management experience and/or experience developing tracking systems for internal processes. Professional certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 welcome.
Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely to be considered. This is a hybrid role and those interested must be commutable to the Boston area 2-3 days per week or able to relocate with very limited assistance.
