Data Science Manager – Confidential Professional Services Firm

A leading global professional services firm is seeking an experienced Data Science Manager to lead and scale its enterprise data initiatives. This strategic role will drive the development of AI-driven solutions, modernize data infrastructure, and oversee a multidisciplinary team including Data Engineers, Architects, and Analysts. The Data Science Manager will play a critical part in shaping the firm’s data strategy while fostering innovation, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the firm’s data and AI strategy in collaboration with senior leadership and stakeholders across Finance, HR, Business Development, and other departments.

  • Build and lead a high-performing data team to support enterprise decision-making and automation initiatives.

  • Design and maintain scalable, secure, and compliant data pipelines and infrastructure.

  • Partner with data governance, legal, and IT security teams to ensure alignment with privacy regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).

  • Operationalize machine learning models and advanced analytics to improve internal processes and client services.

  • Translate complex technical insights into actionable business strategies for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Own the lifecycle of data platforms, including architecture, integration, and change management.

  • Mentor and develop team members while promoting a collaborative and results-driven culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degrees and relevant certifications strongly preferred.

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in data science, data engineering, or analytics roles.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a professional services, legal, or highly regulated environment.

  • Proven expertise in cloud data platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure), Power BI, Tableau, and enterprise analytics tools.

  • Strong knowledge of data governance, compliance, and legal industry systems is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and executives.
