Sr. Research Associate, Vaccine Process Development

Our client is a rapidly expanding vaccine start-up (just under 100 people) in the heart of Kendall Square, Cambridge with tremendous funding.  They are seeking an experienced Sr. Research Associate to work closely with the Head of Process Development and the team, mostly focused on protein purification, filtration, and chromatography-related processes.     

The main function of this role is to scale-up and tech transfer to external partners for commercial production.   

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
•  Design, manage and execute studies relevant to process development to advance novel vaccine programs from preclinical through clinical stages.
•  Perform in-house process development, tech transfer to CMOs and providing oversight to GMP manufacturing. 
•  Analyze data from process development studies and author reports for internal and external submission, including regulatory agencies.

Qualified candidates will have a BS or MS degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology or related discipline and 2-10+ years of industry experience in process development, scale-up, and assay development.   

Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely to be considered and must be commutable to the Cambridge area or able to relocate with very limited assistance.
