Sr. Research Associate, Cancer Cell Biology

You will be hands one in this role with Cell-based Assay development, CRISPR cell line editing, and molecular biology techniques (proliferation assays, PCR, ELISA, RNAi). You Duties Will Include: 

  • Execution of cell-based assays to ID new drug candidates in the hunt for DNA repair-modulating small molecules
  • Develop mechanism of action studies in looking at pathway analysis and desired outcomes and deliver data packages
  • Execution of target validation experiments to help identify new targets and cancer indications
  • Expertise with mammalian cell and tissue culture with cancer cell lines
  • Generate stable cell lines via CRISPR knock-out/knock-in technologies
  • Organized presentation style to share results with key stake holders within the organization
  • Contribution of new ideas and approaches in the lab up to the Discovery leaders to improve or innovate the drug pipeline

You Will Bring The Following Requirements:

  • BS/ MS with 4-10 years of industry experience in Biotech or Pharmaceutical environments.
  • Tissue culture with aseptic techniques is required
  • Molecular Biology techniques including: proliferation assays, nucleic acid isolation, PCR/qPCR, immunoblotting, immunofluorescence, ELISA, CRISPR, RNAi,
  • Experience with High-throughput Screening is valuable, but not required
  • Ability to implement automation into lab work flows is desired
  • Attention to detail and organized approach to conducting and capturing lab results
  • An adventurous attitude and ability to adjust to shifting priorities and demands in an evolving biotech are vital
