Polymer Delivery Sr/Scientist
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Polymer Delivery Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing advanced polymer-based delivery systems for different nucleic acid modalities. The role requires a deep understanding of polymer science, materials characterization techniques, and experience with formulation development and optimization. The Polymer Delivery Scientist will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet our needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and optimize polymer-based delivery systems for various applications using knowledge of polymer science and materials characterization techniques
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including formulation, analytical, and process development teams to deliver innovative solutions
• Design and conduct experiments to evaluate polymer-based delivery systems, including in vitro and in vivo studies
• Analyze and interpret data to draw conclusions and make recommendations for further development
• Develop and maintain accurate records of experiments and data in accordance with company policies
• Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders, including customers and collaborators
• Stay up-to-date with advances in the field of polymer science and drug delivery to drive innovation and improve current processes
Qualifications:
• PhD in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of industry experience, or Master’s degree with 8+ years of industry experience
• Strong background in polymer science, materials characterization techniques, and formulation development
• Experience with advanced drug delivery systems, including nanoparticles, microparticles, hydrogels, and/or liposomes
• Experience with various analytical techniques such as HPLC, DLS, FTIR, and microscopy
• Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
