Senior Scientist or Principal Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry (hit to lead & lead optimization to candidate selection)
Our client, a Boston-based pre-clinical stage biotech pioneering small molecule medicines, is seeking a Medicinal Chemist to join their expanding high-profile team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to be dynamic working across multiple projects in the platform and have a passion for driving drug discovery in oncology, immunological disorders, and rare diseases.

- Ph.D. in Synthetic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or similar
- Experience in drug discovery/development in a biotech/pharmaceutical setting
- Experience managing external CROs
- Experience working on multidisciplinary project teams
- Experience in targeted protein degradation, heterobifunctional chemistry and/or deubiquitinase ligand discovery-based projects is desired
- Understanding of both classic and contemporary synthetic chemistry methodologies
- Strong medicinal chemistry understanding with a good knowledge of basic biology, pharmacology and ADME/PK principles that relate to drug discovery projects
- Knowledge of several related disciplines, such as DMPK, pharmacology, toxicology, regulatory, clinical development, CMC
- Strong publication record with proven track record of driving scientific projects of high quality
