Job Summary:

HireMinds is representing a Stealth Mode company coming out of MPM Capital focusing on RNA/ LNP delivery. As they look to revolutionize RNA therapies, they’re looking for a highly motivated Scientist/ Senior Scientist to contribute to the development of their LNP Platform.

The successful candidate will work as part of the team responsible for producing Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) formulated mRNAs and testing them in vitro and in vivo in preclinical studies. Successful candidates will have a background in the design and synthesis of LNPs, their characterization and their evaluation in vitro and in vivo.



  • Design and execute experiments to optimize the LNP formulation and production processes using Design of Experiments approach
  • Stay up to date with published literature, conference proceedings, and state-of-the-art approaches to non-viral mRNA delivery
  • Synthesize and characterize LNPs for preclinical studies
  • Perform routine mammalian cell culture, transfection, fluorescence, flow cytometry
  • Execute in vivo experiments involving rodents
  • Analyze, interpret and summarize experimental data
  • Communicate results to team members and management in written technical reports and oral presentations
  • Participate in experimental design and troubleshooting efforts


  • Ph.D. in Chemical/Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a similar field
  • 2-5 years of academic or industry experience in nanoparticle formulation
  • Experience in lab-scale manufacture of LNPs including NanoAssemblr or inline mixing
  • Prior in vivo experience with rodents, particularly in the oncology setting
  • Experience with cell and tissue culture using the sterile technique is required
  • Experience with analysis of mRNA quality using capillary gel electrophoresis
  • Proficiency with flow cytometry and ELISA
  • Experience working in fast-paced startup environments
  • Excellent organization skills, approaching tasks with efficiency
  • Ability to work independently while effectively interacting and collaborating in a team environment
  • Experiment (DoE) statistical tools and GMP regulations
