  HireMinds is representing a well funded newly public company in their vector development team's growth. Our client is seeking your talents in analytical vector process development to guide their novel T cell therapy products through the manufacturing pipeline. You will bring skills in vector development, cell culture, and bioprocessing in developing cell therapy and vector products. In helping the Sr. Director of the team you will lead from the bench, build, and mentor a group in Upstream and Downstream vector production and develop quality vector production analytical processes. In this job you will be Responsible for: 

  • Design and execution of upstream and downstream studies in characterization of cellular and vector products through the development process
  • Define and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), analytical test methods, technical documents, and batch records for regulatory and technical transfer
  • Communication is valued as uou will serve as Subject Matter Expert on team reviews of data generated from Quality Control and CRO/CMO partners
  • You will Design and execute the analytical studies to enable stability and vector potency and efficacy
  • You will assess and make recommendations on new equipment and technologies to bring in-house which may expand capabilities for analysis of viral vectors
  • Technical abilities in hands-on experimentation in a variety of techniques including: flow cytometry panels, analytical methods, qPCR/ddPCR, ELISA, Octet, Luminex, MSD, electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE, W. Blot, etc.)

You will have the following Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cellular Biology, Biomedical Engineering with 5+ years of industry experience in analytical or process development Biotech or Biopharmaceutical setting
  • Experience in hands on development of viral vector or CAR-T  products is required
  • Early career management with experience recruiting and leading teams of associates and scientists is desired
  • Industry experience in technology transfer teams or process development contributions to CMO collaborations is important
  • Mammalian tissue culture experience is expected and experience working with primary cell lines is desired
  • Proficiency with analytical and graphical software (JMP, Graphpad, etc.) 
  • Ability to take on novel technologies and projects with a fearless ability to adapt, to troubleshoot, and work out any process improvements in an evolving organization is key
