The Role
As a member of our small and growing team, you will make foundational contributions to new treatments for devastating diseases. Your efforts will directly inform filings with the FDA in pursuit of clinical development of new human therapeutics.
Your main contributions will be to:
- Maintain prepare multiple cell lines for screening of therapeutic candidates in a multi-well format
- Measure RNA editing activity of therapeutic candidates with quantitative PCR and digital PCR
- Use recombinant DNA techniques such as Gibson assembly and restriction enzyme-based cloning to create plasmids that carry potential therapeutics
- Utilize our in-house DNA printer to create potential therapeutics for testing
- Contribute to the development of pooled libraries for therapeutic candidate screening
How You Will Contribute
In this role, you will develop and execute assays to refine their technology platform towards the development of treatments for inherited illnesses of the eye, brain and muscle. You will be responsible for optimizing and executing assays as well as designing experiments in collaboration with scientists. This is a highly collaborative position in which you will generate data and create reagents that will be used across the organization.

Basic qualifications
- MS in biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field OR
- 2+ years in molecular biology
- 3+ years hands-on wet lab experience
Preferred qualifications
- 5+ years hands-on wet lab experience in molecular biology
- 2+ years experience with molecular cloning
- 2+ years experience in human tissue culture
