Senior Research Associate / Associate Scientist, In Vivo pharmacology

Our client is a well-funded biotech startup with a mission to invent next-generation technologies to design drugs that will improve and save patient lives. They are innovators in creating DNA and protein multiplexing technologies to engineer biological systems. We are seeking an In Vivo Pharmacology Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist to drive their multiplexed in vivo drug discovery platform. This is a hands-on role, you must have experience with cancer mouse models and IV injections, and ideally running mice experiments independently.


  • Small animal handling and dosing of test agents via various routes (IV, SC, IP, PO)
  • Collect body weight, tumor volume measurements via calipers and clinical observation data
  • Perform tissue and tumor sample collection from in vivo experiments
  • Perform blood collections via submandibular cheek bleeds and cardiac punctures
  • Cell culture and tissue homogenization
  • Assist in maintaining inventories
  • Maintain accurate and organized data entry and analysis/ communicate to the team via technical reports and oral presentations


  • BS and/or MS and 1-2+ years of industry experience in executing in vivo proof of concept and efficacy experiments in mice
  • Demonstrated expertise in in vivo study execution
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and able to multitask
  • Experience in bioanalytical assays for protein therapeutics (PCR, nucleic acid extraction, ELISA, Western Blot, etc) preferred
  • Experience writing detailed research project plans and methodological SOPs that guide yours and other team members’ laboratory activities highly desirable
  • Experience in tissue sectioning, histology and microscopy is a plus
  • Experience in mouse health monitoring is preferred
  • Driving license to commute to lab and animal facility (50% at animal facility / 50% at lab)
