Our pre-IPO client is developing a novel therapeutic modality with the ability to impact a high number of cancers. Reporting to the Associate Director of Research Operations, the main function of this role is operation and preventive maintenance of critical laboratory equipment and partnering with scientists, IT, and finance to improve workflow speed/efficiencies, and help drive and scale research processes.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
• Drive implementation of automation processes and related instrumentation for new and existing workflows
• Partner with scientists to create and provide user training materials for research instruments
• Serve as a primary point of contact for maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
• Maintain equipment database including tracking capital assets, IT and facility requirements, and any documentation and/or maintenance records
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of lab equipment
• Purchase and track delivery and supply of critical research supplies/consumables

Qualified candidates will have a BS degree in Biology, Chemistry or relevant discipline and 5+ years of experience in a research setting (large academic labs and/or drug discovery groups in industry). Must have significant experience with and knowledge of research laboratory instrumentation and software. This is a hands-on role in their state-of-the-art research labs – must be able to lift 50lbs or more.
Must be authorized to work in the US to be considered and must be commutable to the Cambridge/Lexington area or able to relocate with limited assistance.
