Our Cambridge, MA biotech client is hiring a Senior Director, Investor Relations.  This person doesn’t need to be in the office every day but should live in the metro Boston area or able to commute easily on an as-needed basis.

Highlights of the role

  • Continue the ongoing work to develop, implement, and manage the investor relations strategy.
  • Create, plan, and execute a comprehensive investor relations program to effectively deliver corporate messages to key audiences in order to achieve corporate and strategic goals.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute investor roadshows and potential investor/analyst events at industry and scientific meetings.
  • Develop key communications strategies mainly addressing the investor community and shape cohesive communications plans as part of a cross-functional communications team that includes Senior Management, Corp Comm, Finance, the People team and Legal.

 

 

Profile

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in investor relations, preferably from a commercial, public biotech company.
  • Thrive working in a fast-paced innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to develop important relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Good conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced understanding of financial statements and public company reporting requirements and mechanisms.
  • Experience and comfort with interacting with investment bankers, institutional investors, and research analysts.
  • Demonstrates initiative.
  • Comfortable being both an individual contributor and team player.
  • Able to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans and recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action, excellent analytical skills, and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Able to travel approximately 25% of the time (post-COVID).
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree
