Senior Associate Scientist, Cell Biology & Biochemistry

Our pre-IPO client is developing a novel therapeutic modality with the ability to impact a high number of cancers. We are seeking an experimentalist / assay specialist with significant industry experience to join their Biology team (within the Proteomics Group).
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • Execute mammalian cell culture, transfection and transduction, and molecular biology techniques
  • Perform proteomic sample preparation including using materials from cellular tumor models, tissues from in vivo studies, and biofluids, including plasma
  • Carry out cell-based assays including luminescence and fluorescence reporter assays, imaging, proliferation and viability assays and others
  • Detect and validate biomarkers to support clinical trials
  • Work across functional teams to identify new drug candidates and move them to the clinic

Qualified candidates will have;

  • BS or MS degree and 5+ years of experience in a life sciences industry setting
  • Extensive experience performing mammalian cell culture/cell based assays
  • Proficiency in biology/biochemistry techniques such as western blotting and ELISA
  • Mass spectrometry experience is highly desirable

Must be authorized to work in the US to be considered and must be commutable to the Cambridge/Lexington area or able to relocate with limited assistance.
