THE POSITION

This is a unique opportunity to join a startup and be part of our founding sales team; owning and developing your own territory. You will be responsible for driving our fast-paced expansion by selling to national and regional property owners and managers. You will not just be selling another tech product, you will be making the world a better place everyday as a result of the problem we are solving and the human connections and sense of community we are creating. Beyond the primary focus of the role to achieve sales goals, you will also work with our senior leaders (CEO, COO, VP Product) to assist in establishing our first sales team, practices, tools, playbook and have influence on our product development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive penetration in your territory to achieve monthly, quarterly, annual sales quotas
  • Lead the entire sales cycle (prospecting, closing, nurturing relationships post close)
  • Generate leads and setup pitch/demo meetings (zoom product demo meeting)
  • Build strong, long-lasting, trust-based relationships with owners and managers
  • Develop and manage your pipeline (in Hubspot), present updates on KPIs
  • Participate in industry events and associations as relevant to help drive growth
  • Ensure successful transition to customer success post contract signing and stay involved ongoing to help ensure customer satisfaction and grow the relationship
  • Conduct ongoing industry and competitive research to stay on top of the market
  • Contribute to the product development process and learn new features/benefits
  • Assist in the development of the foundational sales team, practices, playbook
  • Assist in the development of tools and processes to support sales growth (eg, sales materials, case studies, customer testimonials)
  • Evangelize on behalf of the company and its vision
  • Contribute to our collaborative team culture and live our values everyday

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years as an AE in B2B SaaS software sales including early stage startups
  • Proven track record of success in consistently achieving/exceeding quota
  • Experience and strength delivering product demos in online video pitch meetings
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and a natural influencer
  • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Capture detailed information into sales pipeline management software (Hubspot)
  • Sense of ownership, pride, and accountability in your performance (strong goal focus)
  • Team player that collaborates closely with sales team and cross-functional team
  • Good organization and time management skills
  • High energy, enthusiastic, and passionate
  • Sales experience in proptech / multifamily real estate would be beneficial
