Scientist, Preclinical Analytics

Our client is a Series B gene therapy start-up in the suburbs of Boston/Cambridge with proprietary AAV IP born out of Harvard Medical.  They are well-funded and growing!
 
Reporting into the VP of Analytical Sciences, the main function of this role is the development and execution of analytical methods to support preclinical studies using platforms such as ddPCR, qPCR, Western Blotting, and ELISA.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
•  Prequalification/qualification activities for select analytical methods
•  Transfer of qualified assay methods to cross-functional teams and CRO partners as needed.
•  Execute routine sample testing and implement new laboratory workflows and continuous improvement efforts
•  Peer-review data to ensure quality and integrity and organize/report data to Translational Sciences

Qualified candidates will have a PhD in a scientific discipline and 2+ years of relevant academic research and/or R&D experience.  Those with 6-8+ years of experience without a PhD are also welcome to apply.  Must have experience developing ELISA and ddPCR methods.  Ideal candidates will also have experience in analysis of preclinical samples for biomarker, biodistribution and safety parameters.  Experience with IND-enabling studies and familiarity with GXP procedures and regulatory guidelines also welcome!
 
Must be commutable to Greater Boston (Waltham/Watertown area) or able to relocate with limited assistance.
