Our client is a Series C, pre-IPO oncology discovery company in Cambridge with well recognized founders and innovative chemistry beginning clinical trials. They are seeking a Scientist to join a small group focused on Drug Discovery Display Technologies (phage display, yeast display, mRNA display).
The main function of this role is to use powerful screening platforms to rapidly discover both molecular glues and direct binders for target proteins.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
• Build and screen libraries to develop targeted protein degraders
• Apply biochemical and structural analyses to design and build custom display libraries that enhance the inhibition or degradation of targets
• Work with DNA-encoded libraries, including library design and generation, chemical manipulation/modification, selection/screening, and sequence analysis
Formal descriptions can be supplied for interested candidates.
Qualified candidates will have a PhD in Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or a related field with 2-5+ years of relevant experience in academia or industry. Recent PhD graduates also welcome to apply! In-depth understanding of protein-protein interactions and familiarity with interpretation of protein structural models is a plus.
Must be commutable to the Cambridge area or able to relocate with very limited assistance.
All resumes will be kept strictly confidential until you choose to pursue a specific opportunity with one of our clients.
