Our client is developing a novel therapeutic modality with the ability to impact a high number of cancers. They are less than 100 people with room and resources to grow here in Cambridge. The main function of this role is to design and implement biochemical and biophysical assays to screen and understand the inhibitors discovered in their research group.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
• Design, develop and run protein-peptide and protein-protein interaction assays (SPR, TR-FRET, FP) in low and high-throughput settings as well as custom target-specific mechanistic assays.
• Purify, label, and characterize recombinant proteins for assays and structural studies.
• Collaborate with members of our screening teams, and present research plans and results within the team and senior management as well as scientific conferences

Qualified candidates will have a B.S. or M.S. degree in biochemistry or related discipline with 4-10+ years of industry experience (6+ with B.S.) and significant experience with the development and running of diverse biochemical and biophysical techniques, such as SPR/Biacore, BLI/Octet, ITC, Fluorescence Polarization, TR-FRET, DSF, DSC, or/and AlphaScreen. Also seeking experience with protein characterization (gel electrophoresis, western blotting, analytical SEC) and/or mass spectrometry.
Must be authorized to work in the US to be considered and must be commutable to the Cambridge area or able to relocate with limited assistance.
