  HireMinds is seeking your lab expertise in developing novel cancer therapeutics with our small molecule biotech client in Lexington, MA.  Our client is well funded and building a clinical pipeline of genetic oncology drugs.  In order to do this they need your help in cell biology and aseptic cell culture technique.  As a Research Associate on their team you will be a key contributor to research efforts to identify novel small-molecule DNA repair inhibitors for the treatment of cancer. You’ll Be Responsible For: 

•    Maintenance of mammalian cell lines in tissue culture. 
•    Generation of stable cell lines via CRISPR knock-out/knock-in technologies. 
•    Development and execution of cell-based assays to identify and characterize small molecule cancer candidates. 
•    Execution of Mechanism of action (MOA)d studies to better study genetic approaches. 
•    Execution of target validation experiments to help identify new targets, cancer indications, and relationships to advance pipeline efforts. 
•    Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team of researchers from discovery, translational, and clinical functions. 
•    Presenting findings to team and management when called upon with clear communication and ability to report key data points. 

You’ll Bring With You: 
•    BA/BS or MS in Cellular, or Molecular Biology with 1-5 years of relevant hands-on experience in biotech or pharmaceutical setting. 
•    Expertise with aseptic cell culture techniques and mammalian tissue culture. 
•    Experience with assays including: proliferation assays, nucleic acid isolation, PCR, immunoblotting, immunofluorescence, ELISA, CRISPR, RNAi. 
•    Experience with HTS, image analysis, and automation would be valuable, but could be trained in new hire. 
•    Ability to capture and analyze data with clear communication across the organization to peers and supervisors. 
•    Ability to adapt to a variety of program demands on various project as called upon.
•    Eager attitude with ability to immerse and learn from peers in a vibrant biotech setting.
