Manager, Social Media

Our client is a leading provider of medical devices in the cardiovascular space.  Located 20 miles North of Boston, they are looking to a hire a Social Media Manager to oversee all corporate social channels on a global scale.

 

 

This person will join a 14-person global communications team and lead and manage all social media communications.  Medical professionals (surgeons, doctors, nurses and other clinicians) rely on the company’s social channels and we are looking for candidates who have experience working with clinical and scientific data.  Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategy
  • Writing content
  • Monitoring social media for engagement opportunities and engaging with physicians and other KOLs
  • Building cross-functional relationships
  • Reporting on analytics and adjusting strategy to continuously improve results
  • Liaising with senior leadership in US, Japan and Germany
  • Being a champion of the company’s Patient’s First culture

 

 

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience developing and executing social media strategies, preferably in a global environment
  • Industry experience must include medical device, pharma, biotech or similar regulated industries working with clinical data 
  • Worked with multiple social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Able to understand and translate complex scientific and clinical data to a range of audiences
  • Solid communications skills – written and verbal
  • Analytical – uses data to make decisions
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Bachelor’s degree
