Our client is a leading advertising, digital marketing and communications agency looking to expand. The company is seeking to build on its success by expanding further, growing into new verticals. They are looking for a business development and client engagement lead to drive this expansion.
The successful candidate will take a consultative approach to sales, helping to develop and build the types of relationships that are so crucial to the agency’s success. This is a high visibility role working directly with the executive team. There will be big opportunity to make an impact on the business.
About the role:
- Developing and implementing a new business strategy
- Generating leads and nurturing existing prospects
- Presenting to senior-level decision makers
- Researching, developing and writing new business proposals
- Working with cross-functional teams on RFP’s, presentations, pitches and follow up
- Demonstrated passion for the business and continuing education in the space including participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations
- You understand the agency infrastructure and what makes an agency tick
- You are a self-starter, a hunter with a knack for relationship building
- You set goals for yourself and are motivated by meeting and exceeding those goals
- You understand the consultative sales process and the importance of active listening and advisory relationship-building
- You are comfortable presenting to small and large groups and you love doing it
