  HireMinds has partnered with a fast-growing biotech company at seed-stage investment that is seeking your Business Development experience to forge pharma partnerships. You will look at developing business plans with the CEO for a team focused on advancing pharmaceutical drug discovery and development through the application of advanced bioprinting technologies. You’ll advance partnerships with service offerings including organ and disease 3D-models using biomaterials and human cells.

As the Chief Business Officer (CBO) you’ll be relied upon to lead the business’ development and partnership efforts. You’ll have the ability to design and execute strategic direction for partnerships and collaborations, with a focus on multi-year agreements ideally with industry leading pharmaceutical companies.

You’ll Be Responsible For:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to drive partnerships and collaborations with top pharmaceutical companies

• Identify, negotiate and close business deals that align with the company’s goals and objectives

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including the CEO, scientific teams, and legal counsel, to ensure successful execution of partnership agreements

You’ll Bring With You:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, science, or related field with added MBA is preferred, but not required

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or related field, with a focus on selling into pharmaceuticals or biotech partners

• Proven track record of closing multi-year, multi-billion dollar (aggregate) agreements with pharmaceutical companies

• Experience negotiating complex partnership agreements and contracts, including licensing, co-development, and joint ventures

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams

• Entrepreneurial ability to carry partnerships yourself until enough deals are in place to build the BD organization and supporting team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and uncanny ability to present complex topics in business meetings effectively

Salary Range: $200,000 to $350,000
