Our Boston-based client is an award-winning boutique agency that specializes in developing sophisticated digital solutions for clients in the education, non-profit and healthcare sector.
They are looking to add a Business Development Manager / Sales Manager to join their growing team and lead the expansion of their sales efforts in the Midwest. As a key member to their BD team you will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle for enterprise-level clients and projects. This is a remote role with the ideal candidate based in the Chicago / Midwest area.
This is a consultative sales position where you should be comfortable building relationships and educating prospects around the agency services: digital marketing (paid search / SEO), web builds, digital strategy and content management.
The kind of person we’re looking for:
- 3+ years' experience in a sales or business development related role – managing full sales cycles
- You proactively seek out and close new business opportunities
- A strong understanding of outbound lead generation activities
- You are comfortable discussing strategy, design, process, technology, and business goals with prospective clients
- Strong written and verbal communications skills – you have created detail proposals and responded to RFIs/RFPs
- Experience in a digital / integrated agency
- A basic understanding of content management systems, experience with Drupal and/or WordPress is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field
