Brand Marketing Director

Our client, a leader in the baby care space, is looking to hire an accomplished Marketing Leader to guide their marketing team in developing media and brand strategy and leading implementation across paid/earned & owned channels to both consumer & HCP audiences. The successful candidate will have extensive marketing leadership experience in an Omni-Channel environment in an FMCG or CPG industry and will have experience of working across North America and Canada in a senior marketing role.

Key Accountabilities

  • Build a broad appeal for the brand, distinctively bringing the brand to life at the point of purchase
  • Work closely with the Regional Commercial VP to align on priorities for the region and craft strategic marketing plan accordingly
  • Development of annual brand plan across the strategic markets – maximizing growth by leveraging consumer & audience insights, market analytics, etc.
  • Work with the global teams and agencies to develop localized communications plans that support local commercial and brand objectives
  • The ability to work constructively with other functions and leverage an understanding of consumer and shopper barriers to create a growth pipeline that unlocks incremental value
  • influence global portfolio and brand strategy, strategic choices and investment decisions by providing relevant local data and analysis on segment/consumer/brand
  • Inspires key retail partners with breakthrough execution strategies and plans
  • In conjunction with the regional VP, be the local brand P&L owner, accountable for total results with budget ownership for all A&CP
  • Establishes a fresh, agile style of marketing leadership defined by establishing clear priorities with associated KPIs
    • Escalates issues/adapts plans quickly in-response to changing situations (budget, commercial, competitive, etc.)
  • Consistently foster high performance team behavior with agency partners through clear objective setting, regular feedback reviews, ongoing coaching and mentoring

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8+ years marketing leadership experience, working at senior management level in a high growth consumer business within North America
  • Experience of managing and optimizing A&CP budgets
  • Ability to translate data to adaptable strategies that take advantage of changing customer and market dynamics
  • Experience of translating strategy into highly commercial growth plans
  • Extensive leadership and people management skills with a demonstrable understanding of best practice, continuous improvement and team development techniques
  • Ability to work in highly collaborative organizations
  • Willingness to travel
