Entry-level lab animal medicine role now open at one of the top research institutions in Boston!  If you have a passion for working with animals in support of biomedical research for neuroscience, cardiology, rare disease, etc. and are looking to get your foot in the door with one of the best Lab Animal Medicine teams in the whole city, then you need to send a resume now before they fill this position.  This is a group that actively develops it's staff (including AALAS certifications), has low turnover, and has a history of promoting from within.

The main function of this role is to be responsible for the daily care and husbandry of laboratory animals, including but not limited to rodents, dogs, pigs, cats, rabbits, ruminants and ferrets.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
•  Daily care and husbandry of laboratory animals, including regularly lifting and carrying weights of approximately 50 pounds. 
•  Monitoring of room environment.
•  Sanitation of the facilities and maintenance of associated equipment. 

Formal descriptions can be supplied for interested candidates. 

Qualified candidates will have 0-2+ years of related Lab animal experience, preferably with a degree in Veterinary Technology or Animal Science.  More experienced Husbandry Techs can also be considered potentially for Asst. Supervisor roles as well.  

Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely to be considered and must be commutable to the Boston/Cambridge area or able to relocate with very limited assistance.
