The main function of this role is to develop analytical assays (ELISA or cell-based assays or bead-based techniques) and to support biochemical and biophysical characterization of vector including development of complex potency assays for gene therapy products and residual impurity analysis. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
•  Assay development and qualification activities for analysis of process-specific and host cell specific residual impurities
•  Interaction with CMOs/partners/vendors. 
•  Writing/ reviewing analytical development and characterization plans and protocols, analyzing critical data and managing experimental timelines

Qualified candidates will have a BS or MS degree in biochemistry or other relevant biological sciences.  For BS-level, targeting 4-6+ years of industry or other relevant lab experience and 2-4+ years for MS-level.   Experience with cell and/or gene therapy welcome but not required.  Biologics experience a must.  

Preference for those with experience with gel electrophoresis, PCR, capillary electrophoresis, DNA quantification assays, and mammalian cell culture.

Must be authorized to work in the US indefinitely to be considered and must be commutable to the Cambridge area or able to relocate with limited assistance.
