Our client, a fast-growing startup in the security software space, is looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing Operations. This role will be responsible for all go-to-market and business operations. As the Director of Sales and Marketing Operations, you will play a pivotal role in the growth of the organization through sales planning, forecasting, CRM and system administration, deal review, compensation/commissions planning, sales process and efficiency planning, process automation and scalability. This position reports into the CEO and will have a few direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operations and analytics efforts of the business using data-driven methodologies to measure sales & marketing performance to identify business growth levers
  • Manage marketing automation and CRM tools and drive cohesive CRM strategy
  • Compensation Planning and Administration
  • Conduct analysis of sales productivity, establish metrics and objectives for sales and make recommendations for increasing sales productivity in other relevant functions
  • Partner with executive management to provide focus and measure performance on business KPIs as well as deliver other high-level trend analysis
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop frameworks and methodologies for identifying key business opportunities
  • Design and schedule management reporting that communicate key performance metrics to executive team

Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years in business, sales and marketing operations, management consulting or related field, preferably in a start-up environment

Our client is a rapidly growing, venture-backed company who is changing the way brands manage their products in-stores across the country.  Their cloud-based technology affords retailers visibility into thousands of stores enabling them to optimize the in-store experience for their products and ultimately increase sales. They are looking for a Sales Director to join their team.

The role: A consultative role in which you will build relationships at C-level and VP level at retail, F&B, lifestyle and fashion brands.  Educate the client on the value the platform will afford them.  This newly created role will drive sales and build the client’s business with major national brands.

The profile: You have held a quota-bearing role selling to major retailers or even enterprise software solutions.  You are a hunter, an educator and a relationship builder.  You are driven and have a proven track record to show for it.

  • 5+ years in a quota-bearing role
  • Demonstrated record of achieving sales and profitability goals
  • Retail or enterprise software experience a huge plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
