Our Cambridge, MA therapeutics client is innovative and disruptive.  They are building a platform to create an almost limitless number of drug candidates in an entirely new class of medicines.  The company, which had a record-setting IPO, is building their corporate affairs team.  We are looking for an Associate Director, Corporate Communications who will report directly to the Chief Communications Officer.

In this role, you will

  • Play a lead role in communicating R&D and corporate milestones and raise awareness for the company’s platform and pipeline 
  • Develop materials and messaging to support scientific and clinical disclosures that include press releases, Q&A, blogs and videos for Quarterly calls, data unblindings, scientific publications, regulatory milestones and medical meetings
  • Support executive speaking opportunities and presentations
  • Work with agency partners to develop communications materials and plans
  • Assist with media relations activities

Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in public relations, either in-house or at an agency working with pharma/biotech clients  
  • Deep knowledge of drug discovery and development processes
  • Excels in writing concisely about R&D strategies and milestones for a general audience
  • Follows emerging science, technology and innovation trends and news in the pharma/biotech ecosystem
  • Builds relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including at the executive level
  • Science or clinical background is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree
